About the role

Scania Industrial Maintenance AB (Scania IM) is one of the largest technical maintenance companies in Sweden. We are a wholly owned subsidiary of Scania CV AB and part of the VW Group. We offer technical services in production maintenance, facility management, and industrial projects. Since our services are closest to Scania's core business, we can ensure the continued efficiency and profitability of the production process. The Maintenance Technology Projects department has overall responsibility for securing maintenance deliveries in Scania's machine investment projects.

Team Leader

In this role, you will be part of a team of maintenance engineers for machine procurement. Our work is characterized by great technical knowledge, drive, and pace. We place great value on safety, collaboration, and continuous improvements together with the production technology groups and their project managers. Together, we build Scania's future production.

We have offices in Södertälje and Oskarshamn, and this position is based in Oskarshamn. There is an opportunity to work from home if needed, but we value proximity to the team and customer on-site.

Your responsibilities

The Team Leader supports and works together with the group manager to create the right conditions for the team. You coordinate, lead, and plan defined activities related to the department's Strategic Plan and received assignments.

As Team Leader, your responsibilities include:

• Training and supporting employees in their roles.
• Assisting the group manager in employee development and group development activities.
• Acting as a deputy when the group manager is not present.
• Resource planning together with the team to ensure the right presence, both short- and long-term to secure deliveries.
• Ensuring that the team's assignments meet deadlines and goals (which may involve the Team Leader needing to support the execution of individual deliveries or parts of projects).
• Continuously presenting the status of ongoing assignments.
• Managing and developing “best practices” within the department together with Team Leader colleagues.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with a university degree (Master's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial economics, electrical engineering, automation, or maintenance technology). Previous experience as a production engineer or maintenance engineer is an advantage.

You have a very good general knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and are proficient in both Swedish and English, spoken and written.

As you will collaborate with many different stakeholders, you need to easily switch perspectives and adapt your language according to the situation and the common goal. You gain and give energy when collaborating and finding innovative solutions together with others. Your social skills and trustworthy demeanor make it easy for you to build long-term and sustainable relationships.
